Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Hideo Kojima once stated during the 2009 Tokyo Game Show; "Solid Snake's storyline has ended with MGS4. But there's still a lot more when it comes to Naked Snake's storyline."  On February 21, 2012, the site that is owned by Kojima Productions was uploaded promoting a new Metal Gear game. Later on August 30, 2012, A promotional mirrored image was released by Metal Gear 25th Anniversary site, in which words written in backwards read: "From "FOX", two phantoms were born." Militaires Sans Frontières logo is on Big Boss's (left) arm and a (flipped) FOX logo is on the top corner of the image. Also a 20 minute demo related to this game was shown during the 25th Anniversary celebration in Tokyo, demonstrating Fox Engine's abilities.

According to the site, Big Boss is the protagonist of the game and he will be commanding a military group called the "Diamond Dogs." Kojima promised that the game will be a "authentic stealth" sequel to the series. Kojima also implied in the interview that Solid Snake might have a role either in this game or Metal Gear Solid 5.

The game was promotionally known as "Next" Metal Gear Solid. Ground Zeroes is a prologue to "Metal Gear Solid 5", according to Hideo Kojima. Apparently, Kojima will be stepping up to the forefront again by writing, directing and doing the game design for Ground Zeroes, as well as producing it. The game will be running on the new Fox Engine, that was developed by Kojima and will be published by Konami.

Personally, I only love Solid Snake's storyline instead of Naked Snake/Big Boss'. Don't get me wrong, I like Naked Snake but for me, Solid Snake is the unsung heroes that everyone seems to be forgotten and his stories are seem more interesting. Either way, I do love Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater because it had the military stealth in it because of the Cold War theme.

Judging from the trailer that was released, Paz is confirmed to be alive after the events of Peace Walker, and that Chico has been captured by an unknown military group. Both characters were revealed to be on Camp Omega, an American-owned military installation located on Cuba, and Naked Snake's mission in the gameplay is to retrieve both of them.

And the viewers also being introduced to a suited figure that appears to be one of the game's villains. The character wears a black, flat-brimmed hat, his face burnt and disfigured. He appears to be part of a group called XOF—FOX backwards—and he calls his squad of soldiers "an army without a nation." Apparently in the game, Naked Snake can use a helicopter to fly around the world, going between countries and taking on missions.

There were a speculation that the charred villain being Hot Coldman (Former DCI), from Peace Walker. I would think the game would be about how Naked Snake came to established FOXHOUND. Though, that is only speculations.

I can't wait for the game to be release since I've been playing all Metal Gear Solid games since Metal Gear Solid (mostly all except for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots because I do not own a PlayStation 3). It is rumored that they game will also have a PC version which kinda makes me happy. And looking from it, the Fox Engine looks awesome. Not to mention the graphic looks the same as the ones from the cut-scenes. 

I am waiting anxiously for this game and the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5.
